About this event

Baptist Health Louisville offers the course "Safe Sitter", a medically accurate program designed to teach boys and girls, ages 11-14 how to be great sitters.

Safe Sitters learn:

  • Child development
  • First Aid
  • Business skills
  • How to prevent choking
  • What to do when a child stops breathing or chokes
  • How to call for emergency help
  • Basic child care skills, such as diapering and feeding
  • How to entertain children and keep them safe

Course fee is $30 and payment is taken during the online registration process via credit card. 

Students must fill out the Student Registration Form and the Student Contract and submit to [email protected] before coming to class.

Sitters should bring a lunch, drink and snacks for the day. Social distancing will be in place. Masks must be worn except while eating or drinking. Vending machines are available. Students should bring change.

The class will be held at Baptist Innovative Learning Center located at 4007 Kresge Way, Louisville, KY.

**This event can be refunded up to 30 days after the date of purchase or the day before the event is held, whichever comes first.**
