Baptist Health Louisville offers the course "Safe Sitter", a medically accurate program designed to teach boys and girls, ages 11-14 how to be great sitters.

Safe Sitters learn:

• Child development
• First Aid
• Business skills
• How to prevent choking
• What to do when a child stops breathing or chokes
• How to call for emergency help
• Basic child care skills, such as diapering and feeding
• How to entertain children and keep them safe

Course fee is $30, Sitters should bring payment, a lunch, drink and snacks for the day. Social distancing will be in place. Masks must be worn except while eating or drinking. Vending machines are available. Students should bring change.

The class will be held at Baptist Innovative Learning Center located at 4007 Kresge Way, Louisville, KY.
