About this event

Paint the Town Pink began in 2009 to increase breast cancer awareness in our community for both men and women as they shop, dine and visit local Madison County businesses in the month of October.

100% of Paint the Town Pink proceeds stay in Madison County. Due to the generosity of community partners and supporters, Paint the Town Pink has invested more than $100,000 to support cancer care.

In partnership with the Baptist Health Foundation Richmond in 2021, Paint the Town Pink established a Cancer Care Patient Assistance Fund to help patients in need of transportation, prescriptions, equipment, food and more necessary for their healing and recovery.

Last year, Paint the Town Pink financially supported a group of local quilters committed to gifting beautiful hand-made quilts to all Baptist Health Richmond Cancer Care patients receiving their first treatments.

Most recently Paint the Town Pink decided to utilize generosity from both previous years and from this year and future Paint the Town Pink campaigns to support the forthcoming relocation and expansion of Cancer Care services at Baptist Health Richmond.

Paint the Town Pink has also supported the following organizations whose missions support cancer care initiatives and programs in Madison County.

Grant recipients include:

  • Baptist Health Richmond Cancer Care
  • Brighter Days Ahead
  • Madison Co. Breast Cancer Support Group
  • Kentucky River Foothills
  • Knitted Knockers – Madison County
  • Madison County Health Department
