About this event

This 8.0-contact hour course provides an evidence-based synthesis of hip and pelvic dysfunction, bridging the gap between structural anatomy and clinical outcomes.

The cost of this event is $185. Once you register, a button for payment will display on the registration page. Please click on that to complete your registration.

The day begins with Butt Science, a deep dive into the gluteal complex—exploring its anatomical significance, clinical importance, and the most effective evidence-based protocols for testing and training.

The morning continues with Born to Run Well, a lecture advocating for the multi-faceted benefits of running while providing a comprehensive framework for the evaluation and treatment of the recreational runner. As an off-shoot of this discussion, The Female Runner addresses sex-specific biomechanical variables and injury risks. We then transition to Court Sports, analyzing injury patterns and specific corrective exercises for tennis and pickleball athletes.

The afternoon is dedicated to a three-hour intensive Hip Testing and Treatment Lab, emphasizing advanced diagnostics and manual interventions. The day concludes with Architecture of Adherence, a framework designed to ensure clinical interventions translate into long-term patient consistency through behavioral science.

This course covers two challenging areas that physical therapists face regularly: managing shoulder injuries and chronic pain. The course is hands-on with extensive interaction between participants and instructors.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Synthesize Gluteal Evidence: Critique the anatomical importance of the gluteals and implement the most effective, evidence-based testing and training protocols.

  • Evaluate the Recreational Runner: Implement a systematic evaluation and treatment framework for the recreational runner based on the "Born to Run Well" model.

  • Identify Sex-Specific Running Risks: Distinguish injury patterns and biomechanical considerations unique to the female runner.

  • Manage Court-Sport Pathologies: Identify common injury patterns in tennis and pickleball athletes and prescribe targeted corrective exercises.

  • Perform Advanced Hip Diagnostics: Demonstrate proficiency in a battery of clinical tests designed to differentiate intra-articular and extra-articular hip pathology.

  • Implement Adherence Frameworks: Apply the "Architecture of Adherence" model to overcome behavioral barriers and improve patient compliance in the clinical setting.

Registration and payment are required to reserve your seat for this course.
