About this event

Have you ever wondered what is an advance directive and do I really need one?

An advance directive is paperwork indicating what you would want medically if you could no longer speak for yourself. Completing an advance directive is part of advance care planning.

Advance care planning is for all adults, regardless of their medical condition. This type of planning prepares you and your loved ones for any future healthcare needs such as an unexpected emergency or accident. It is a process to help you understand possible future healthcare choices in light of the values and goals important to you and to discuss your choices with those closest to you.

Please come join us to discuss advance care planning, work through how to select a healthcare decision maker, consider what your possible future healthcare decisions might be, and talk about how to transfer your wishes to an advance directive.
