Baptist Health La Grange offers the course "Safe Sitter", a medically accurate program designed to teach boys and girls, ages 11-14 how to be great sitters.

Safe Sitters learn:

Child development

First Aid

Business skills

How to prevent choking

What to do when a child stops breathing or chokes

How to call for emergency help

Basic child care skills, such as diapering and feeding

How to entertain children and keep them safe

Course fee is $30, Sitters should bring payment (in the form of cash or check), a lunch, drink and snacks for the day. Social distancing will be in place. Vending machines are available.
