About this event

Objectives

  • Identify current trends in treating and managing heart failure in the outpatient setting
  • Discuss medication regimen in cardiovascular diseases including coronary artery disease and heart failure.
  • Recognize the value and benefit of coronary CT angiography
  • Discuss current trends diagnosis and treatment of peripheral vascular disease
  • Recognize patient perspectives of life after a coronary event including physical, mental, and emotional challenges
  • Discuss the need for public access defibrillators and the role of current healthcare providers in community education
  • Identify and discuss methods to treat cardiac arrhythmias including leadless pacemakers and ablation

With the ever advancing and changing practice of medicine, new programs and procedures in the area, this educational activity will help close the practice gap for:

  • coronary CT angiogram
  • public access defibrillators
  • arrhythmia management
  • peripheral vascular disease
  • heart failure
  • medical management
  • dietary changes
  • cardiac rehab for patients with coronary artery disease
  • life post coronary intervention
  • a patient’s perspective

Please note: Pre-registration is closed. However, registration is available on-site Friday, 3/15/24.

Registration is free and attendees must stay for entire session and complete an evaluation to be awarded contact hours.
