About this event

From Chaos to Calm: Effective Strategies for Handling Difficult Behavior

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This 4-hour continuing education (CEU) training provides mental health professionals with a comprehensive, brain-based framework for understanding and effectively responding to difficult behaviors across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on children and adolescents.

The Training That Started It All: From Chaos to Calm gives educators, counselors, caregivers, and other professionals practical strategies for understanding and de-escalating challenging behaviors in real time.

Participants will learn to recognize what is happening beneath the behavior, identify the factors and triggers that can lead to escalation, and respond effectively in the moment. The training concludes with hands-on practice, allowing participants to apply these strategies to realistic, real-world situations.

This interactive training equips participants with practical tools they can immediately use to create safer, calmer, and more supportive environments for the individuals they serve.
